01Public Infrastructure
Bayit Vegan, Jerusalem
Location
Bayit Vegan, Jerusalem
Project Type
Public Infrastructure & Engineering Works
Scope
Precision execution in high-traffic urban zones, with complex crane logistics and access management.
A public-infrastructure project for Kiryat Amshinov — a campus of Torah-study institutions, including active study halls (batei midrash) and yeshivas in the Bayit Vegan neighborhood of Jerusalem. The work combined heavy structural engineering with intricate logistics — 100 tons of steel lifted over occupied buildings — on a planned 30-day schedule.

Challenge & Solution
The challenge was twofold: delivering large-scale engineering work without disrupting the daily learning in the community's own study halls and yeshivas, while holding to a planned timeline that left no room for slippage. We built a phased lifting plan — part during daytime hours, part at night with road closures coordinated in advance with the police. In parallel, we executed 4-meter deep drilling in controlled segments, and every crane lift was validated by on-site engineers before the load was committed. The result was a safety envelope that allowed heavy construction to proceed without interrupting study.
Key Features
Result
The project was delivered on the planned schedule — 30 days from mobilization to completion. Under the direction of Moti, the lead contractor, 100 tons of steel were lifted into place, infrastructure was prepared for a 400 sqm automated roof, and deep-drilled foundations were laid to serve the buildings long-term. The decision to work at night and coordinate with authorities was not incidental — it reflects the Binyan Eitan DNA: full responsibility for the surroundings, even when it demands double the logistics.
